Terms and Conditions – PlatesForYou

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the PlatesForYou website (www.platesforyou.co.uk). By accessing this website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this website.

1. Definitions

  • “You”, “Your”, “Customer” refers to the user or purchaser
  • “We”, “Us”, “Our”, “Company” refers to PlatesForYou
  • “Products” refers to all number plates and related items sold

2. Orders & Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

You are responsible for ensuring all details entered (including registration, spacing, and style) are correct before placing your order.

3. Bespoke Products & No Refund Policy

All number plates are custom-made to your specifications.

As such:

  • We do not offer refunds or returns
  • Orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun

By placing an order, you agree that your item is personalised and exempt from cancellation and refund under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Refunds or replacements will only be provided where:

  • The product is faulty, or
  • We have made an error in production

4. Real Plates (Road Legal)

By selecting Real Plate, you confirm that:

  • Your number plate will be produced in accordance with DVLA regulations
  • Spacing will match the official registration as shown on your V5C logbook
  • Plates will include required legal markings, including company details and BSAU number

You must provide valid documentation as required by UK law. We reserve the right to refuse any order where sufficient documentation is not provided.

5. Show Plates (Non-Road Legal)

By selecting Show Plate, you confirm that:

  • Your plate will be produced exactly as entered, including any custom spacing
  • The plate is not road legal and is for display or show use only

PlatesForYou accepts no responsibility or liability for:

  • Fines, penalties, or legal consequences
  • Use of show plates on public roads

Show plates will not include legal markings such as company details or BSAU numbers.

6. Delivery

We aim to process and dispatch orders promptly. Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by couriers or circumstances outside our control.

7. Cookies

We use cookies to improve your experience on our website. By using this site, you agree to our use of cookies in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property
